Serving California beer and wine, along with a small bites menu, Baseline Tap House offers a bit of the west coast out east. Fitting, since the Grand Avenue area (what remains of the former Streets of America section of the park) celebrates the city of Los Angeles. First, it offers a crowd capacity that the other spots lack.

The pretzel was like any Disney pretzel out there but the beer-cheese fondue that came with it was tasty! The cheese plate would likely be our next option over the pretzel or almonds next time around. It is a Baseline “Tap” House so, let’s get to the drinks you’ve been wanting to know about!

It came out of the tap and wasn’t much like a typical margarita. The Yuzu was a little powerful and I would have enjoyed more of the lime taste coming through. I wouldn’t describe this as a spot to get a meal – it’s more like snacks – pretzels (a fancier version than in the carts), nuts, cheese plates… that sort of thing. There are lots of California beers and wines available, but they have some interesting sodas and lemonade on tap too. BaseLine Tap House is a great place to visit in Disney’s Hollywood Studios if you’re in the mood for a brew and a delicious snack (we’re big fans of the charcuterie AND the pretzel here). But they’ve also got some non-alcoholic beverage options on the menu.
Menu Options
There is a little bit of indoor seating, but there is much more room outside where you can take some time to relax and enjoy the laid back scene. Our plant-based menu items are made without animal meat, dairy, eggs and honey. A TON of new eats are coming to the Disney parks for Asian American Pacific... The Spiced Almonds are somewhat atypical than the cinnamon-glazed style you’ll usually find around the parks, as they are both sweet and spicy. Speaking of citrus, the Ace Space Bloody Orange Hard Cider is especially delicious, with more of the orange flavor coming through the more you drink it.
More importantly, though, Disneyland touches within a grown-up vibe set a terrific scene for some great California brews. And I appreciate the fact that — even though we’ve seen all these particular food items before — even the limited food offerings have been given small, thoughtful makeovers. Grand Avenue, however, is a nod to Los Angeles, California. And BaseLine Tap House plays its part in the scene by offering California beers, cider and wine, along with specialty cocktails and a small bites menu. If you aren’t grabbing a drink to go, we’d highly recommend staking out a table as early as possible.
Both were about $5, so it's definitely a good way to save money if you don't want to spend $10 on a drink. You can withdraw your consent for these messages at any time. And the goat cheese is creamy and salty, with a pumpkin and cranberry crust that adds a terrific sweetness — almost resembling a dessert cheese.

But as we pulled up a chair, we noticed that host/hostess kept coming into Baseline shouting names… as they were looking for the next party to be seated at the restaurant. While we love the idea of getting a drink while we wait for a table at Sci-Fi, it got old pretty fast listening to the server shout out names of guests in such a “chill” setting. BaseLine Tap House is meant to have a “corner pub vibe” and so it’s pretty relaxed. Inspired by modern-day downtown Los Angeles you can expect lots of exposed brick and wood, a mix of seating and standing tables, and a pretty nice terrace (especially at night). To order your food and drinks, you will go inside the warehouse themed indoor section of Baseline Tap House. Inside, there are a few tables and high tops where you can enjoy your items.
Entertainment:
Again, not to say you should pass it up, but to say it’s worth checking out only if you are in the Grand Avenue area. Don’t come to Baseline Tap House hungry, as you’ll end up leaving hungry or full-on drinks! They do offer three snacks/small plates including a Bavarian Pretzel with beer-cheese fondue and spicy mustard, a California Cheese and Characuterie Plate, and Spiced Almonds.
Wild Strawberry Lemonade and Blue Sky Black Cherry Soda make up the specialty non-alcoholic options. And though the stellar selection of beverages is definitely the focus of BaseLine Tap House, there is also a small food menu to go along with whatever drink — or drinks! Because Disney World is awesome, they always offer a story to go with everything from attractions, to shops, and yes, even lounges! Baseline is themed to be a “mom and pop” corner print house (paying homage to the Figueroa Printing Company) that once partnered with Disney Studios. It’s easy to feel the comfortable atmosphere in this space that makes you want to pull out a pad of paper (or your phone these days) to let your mind transcribe new ideas. Among Walt Disney World fans in the know, BaseLine Tap House scores big points for its beers on tap.
Baseline is open at 11 am and typically this is a good time to arrive as most guests as seeking lunch plans at this time. The bartenders will also ask if you are sitting inside or going outside as the cup they prepare your beverage in will be glass if staying in or plastic if you go out. Our daughter’s non-alcohol beverage came in a solid white plastic cup, and alcohol came in clear plastic. Different snacks containers were available as well depending on if you were going to sit inside or outside. BaseLine Tap House is a restaurant located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Kids are allowed here, but it’s definitely more of a grown-up spot, with adult-leaning vibes, and the menu isn’t appealing to the under-21 crowd.
The creamy horseradish sauce added more of a punch than anything, and the delicious, semi-sweet pastry puff brought everything together perfectly. Think of this as a really messy, really delicious “artisanal” open-faced steak sandwich and you’ll have the right idea. Baseline Tap House has indoor and outdoor terrace seating, and this is what ultimately turned things around for me with regard to BaseLine Tap House.
Served with Beer-Cheese Fondue and Spicy Mustard, the pretzel was fresh and large. While this is certainly better than the typical Mickey Pretzel, it’s also a couple of dollars more and I don’t know if it’s that much better. As for food, we tried the California Cheese and Charcuterie Plate. This consisted of Toma Farmstead Cheese, Point Reyes Original Blue Cheese, Laura Chenel’s Sonoma Goat Cheese, Chorizo and Calabrese Salami, Cornichons, Grapes and Toasted Baguettes. I especially liked the Chorizo and Toma Farmstead Cheese while Melissa was partial to the Goat Cheese. This is perfect to share and we cleared the plate pretty easily, enjoying everything.
Small plates feature Coffee-rubbed Rib-Eye Beef Puff, the California Cheese and Charcuterie Plate, the Bavarian Pretzel, and Spiced Almonds. You’ll also find hard ciders, wine, and cocktails on tap, like the California Sunset and the Baseline Select Margarita. For the complete menu, Guests can visit the My Disney Experience app. Overall, we would visit Baseline Tap House again but wouldn’t necessarily go out of our way to do so. Hollywood Studios has two other lounges which include The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge and Tune-In Lounge.
At just $10, this is one of the best values in Walt Disney World. My advice is simple on this one, if you’re going to BaseLine Tap House then get this. The Bavarian Pretzel is served with spicy mustard and a beer cheese fondue.
